The ornaments

What are the wood ornaments made of?

Natural plywood, cut to shape with a laser, then printed in full color with UV-cured ink. They measure about 4 x 4 inches and are roughly 0.2 to 0.3 inches thick, depending on whether the design is built from one layer or two. Every wood ornament ships with a jute hanging cord already tied on.

What are the ceramic ornaments made of?

Glazed ceramic, about 2.9 inches across, with the artwork printed on both faces so it reads whichever way it turns on the branch. The gold hanging cord comes attached.

Some designs look like stained glass. Is it real glass?

No. The stained glass effect is printed artwork on a smooth glazed ceramic disc. There is no real leaded glass anywhere in the ornament, and the surface is flat to the touch.

Some designs look carved. Are they?

No. The carved and raised-relief looks are printed as well. On two-layer wood designs the depth is real — the cut front panel sits above its backing and casts a genuine shadow — but the artwork itself is printed, not engraved or hand-carved.

Will the color fade?

The ink is UV cured into the surface rather than laid on as a decal, so it resists peeling, chalking and yellowing far better than paper, felt or foil ornaments. A dry cloth is all the cleaning it needs after a season in the storage box.

How do I care for them?

Wipe with a dry or barely damp cloth. Keep them out of the dishwasher and away from prolonged soaking.

Can I hang them somewhere other than a tree?

Yes. They are light enough for thin outer branches, and they also work on a wreath, a garland, a doorknob, a rear-view mirror, a gift bag handle or a shelf hook.

Orders and delivery

Where do you ship?

Within the United States only. We cannot ship outside the US at this time.

How long will delivery take?

Usually 3 to 5 business days once the order is on its way, from a US fulfillment center. Allow a little time for picking and packing before that window starts. Full details are on our Shipping & Returns page.

Can I return something?

Yes, within 15 days of receiving your order. Return postage is paid by the buyer. If the item arrived damaged or we sent the wrong design, that is our mistake and we cover it. See Shipping & Returns.

My ornament arrived damaged.

Message us through the contact page with a photo and your order number, and we will put it right.

Does it come in a gift box?

Yes. Every ornament arrives in a ready gift box with the hanging cord already tied on, so it can be given exactly as it is. We do not add ribbon, wrapping paper or a printed gift message.

Can I send one straight to someone else?

Yes — enter their address as the shipping address at checkout, as long as it is in the US.
